experience based on
Our exercise physiology service is personalised to ensure you and your goals are the priority. We treat you as a whole person rather than an injury or diagnosis. Through finding out what matters to you and setting collaborative goals, we help you create sustainable improvements and return to the things you love doing.
Our exercise physiologists will personalise your treatment based on your current capacity and will help you get back to the things you love to do.
Exercise physiology will empower you to improve and regain your strength, mobility, balance and fitness. These improvements will help you better rehabilitate and manage your injury, chronic health condition, recover from surgery and reduce existing pain levels to allow you to live the life you choose.
Our exercise physiologists understand that injury and illness is more than just a physical experience. We strive to utilise exercise as a tool to manage and improve mental health and the psychological impact of injury, illness and disability.
How it works
Sarah is a 34-year-old lady who has suffered from chronic lower back pain for the last 6 years.
Sarah’s chronic back pain has left her frustrated and feeling as though things may never improve.
Sarah now finds that she is fearful and avoids things during her everyday life.
Sarah then booked an initial consultation with an exercise physiologist at AXM Exercise Physiology.
At this initial consultation Sarah explained her experience with chronic pain, how it has affected her as well as setting meaningful goals. Sarah also underwent a physical assessment.
Sarah and her exercise physiologist then devised a tailored plan that would best help her achieve her goals.
Sarah now feels more assured and confident in managing her pain and completing meaningful activities.
